Welcome to Pro Install Guy

Real installs, real tips. Professional appliance installation guides that go beyond the manual.

What This Is

I’m a professional appliance installer. I’ve been doing this for years — thousands of installs across residential and commercial jobs. Dishwashers, refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, microwaves, garbage disposals, ice makers, range hoods. If it plugs in or hooks up in a kitchen or laundry room, I’ve installed it.

This site is everything I’ve learned that the manual doesn’t tell you.

Why the Manual Isn’t Enough

Every manufacturer writes their installation manual for ideal conditions. Perfect plumbing placement. Level floors. Up-to-code electrical. Clean, unobstructed spaces.

In reality? You get:

  • Water supply valves that are seized shut from 20 years of neglect
  • Drain heights that are 6 inches off from spec
  • Floors that slope 2 inches across 4 feet
  • Electrical outlets behind the appliance, not beside it
  • Old houses with plumbing that predates the moon landing

This site teaches you how to handle all of that.

What You’ll Find Here

Installation Guides

Step-by-step tutorials for every major appliance. Not the dumbed-down manufacturer version — the real version. The one that accounts for the problems you’ll actually run into.

Tool Reviews

Honest reviews of installation tools from someone who uses them daily. Which pipe wrenches actually hold up? Which supply lines are worth the extra money? What’s the best multimeter for a service installer?

Troubleshooting

Common problems and how to diagnose them. Water leaking from a dishwasher? Could be 10 things. I’ll walk you through how to figure out which one.

Pro Tips

Quick tips and tricks that make installs faster, cleaner, and more professional. The stuff you learn after doing 1,000 installs.

Who Am I

I’m not going to bore you with a long bio. I’m a pro installer who got tired of seeing bad advice online. YouTube tutorials where the guy’s never actually installed an appliance in a real home. Blog posts clearly written by someone who’s never held a wrench.

I decided to put the real knowledge out there. Free. No certification courses to sell, no $500 “master installer” programs. Just real information from real experience.

Safety

One thing I’m dead serious about: safety. Every guide will include proper safety warnings. If a job involves gas lines, 240V circuits, or anything that could hurt you — I’ll tell you when to call a licensed professional instead.

No install is worth risking your home, your health, or your life.

Let’s get to work.
